Reviews
Live Well Beyond Breast Cancer is a candid journey through one woman’s experience with diagnosis, treatment, and survival of breast cancer. Ms. Wilms writes with compassion, honesty, and transparency about her experience with a terrifying diagnosis. She encourages women to pay attention to their bodies and their inner voice. While medicine and technology make diagnosing cancer much more accurate sometimes cancer efficiently hides. Ms. Wilms discovered her own cancer by noticing and paying attention to changes in her body even though a mammogram indicated everything was normal. Upon diagnosis, Ms. Wilms leads the reader through her journey of feelings, fears, treatment options, medical teams, procedures, and recovery ever mindful that each cancer journey is unique and that every woman must make decisions that are right for her. Ms. Wilms also discusses the power of a gratitude practice, self-advocacy, healthful eating, and positivity. This is a book that is powerful to the woman who is facing this challenge, those that are in the process of treatment, those that are in recovery and those that support women who are, or have been, down this path. A difficult topic with a very hopeful message. Jenny Peterson, M.Ed. Amazon Customer, Excellent Book
